The more I use this phone, the more I love it!
Good quality phone. Phone takes 2 AA batteries, so no more special batteries to buy. Phone can store 100 phone numbers ( phone book in phone) which you can arrange into 9 different catagories (friends, family, business ect.) The call blocking feature works pretty well. I have a lot less unnecessary calls coming in ( campaign calls, unwanted soliciters ect) The manual that comes with the phone does a good job of explaining all the features and how to use them. Not happy with sound quality
I needed a basic phone to replace my old GE phone which had stopped charging so I bought this model for a replacement. The handset is very light but the tinny sound quality was awful and I stopped using it after 5 minutes. It's probably an excellent phone but I needed sound clarity and this phone doesn't have it. I was able to find another old GE phone like my old one and am very happy now.

Good little phone but the message alert is SO BRIGHT!!
First, the image shown with this expandable handset is not accurate. The picture shows the main phone unit, not the handset, The handset extension does not have the wide base shown in the picture--nor the black portion on the base that you push to locate the handset- that's only on the main unit. The handset extension is great but it differs in another way from the main unit. When you get a call, even with the ringer off, the top (and, I think, sides) flash on and off with a bright light! That is both good and bad. It has alerted me to calls I missed on the main unit when I came in from a walk or shopping, etc. (because there is no call alert on the main phone- you have to pick it up and then you see the Voicemail alert). HOWEVER, if you are asleep and a call comes in and you don't want ... First, the image shown with this expandable handset is not accurate. Also, I found with the base unit, after I dropped it a few times, it got a scratchy tone and now I will have to replace it, so while I thought these were "solid state," I guess they can get rattled by dropping them (even on a wall to wall carpet like mine! Go figure.)

panasonic good house phone for low price
